James Hurd flew bush planes for Mission Aviation Fellowship in Latin America and later taught anthropology at Bethel University, His books include: Horse-and-Buggy Mennonites; Wingspread: A Memoir; and Blessed Unbeliever―a novel about doubt and faith.
Today, he writes for those who find themselves at the crossroads of faith and doubt, seeking a community of kindred spirits interested in flying, writing and reading, and/or the mysteries of the human heart.
